The furry one had already been adopted, but they ended up returning it because it was very difficult to care for. Nobody wanted to give her a chance for months, until she eventually discovered people that care about her.
The American organization Humane Rescue Alliance does not believe in giving up on the puppies they rescue, so once again they prepared to offer Fiona. Crushing syndrome leads the furry girl to lose hair, pee constantly, require expensive medications, and have a stomach that approaches the ground.
All of this made her an interesting proposition in the perspective of families wanting to adopt a dog. She had been adopted in January of this year, but by August she was back at the shelter. The volunteers understood it would be tough to give her up for adoption, but they would not give up on her.
Monica Whitaker was wanting to adopt a kitten with her 5-year-old daughter, Myanni. But just then they noticed Fiona, “ Is she pregnant? “ Asked the woman, to which they said no, and described her unique and fragile state. She also revealed all the extra care that she needed from her and they acknowledged that for that precise reason no one wanted to adopt her .
Then young Myanni went over to pat the dog , and a volunteer gave her a slice of cheese to break into little pieces so she could give it to Fiona. However, the girl disregarded that and offered her the full slice of cheese, expecting to see the hairy Dela thrilled from the start.
The kid immediately understood that she wanted to adopt the dog, and her mother began to cry . Monica knows rejection because her 19-year-old son was engaged in an accident at the age of six that left him with a speech impediment as well as an intellectual impairment.
The woman knew what Fiona had gone through, therefore the decision was not difficult, they would no longer adopt a cat, but a lovely dog . Everyone at the rescue group bid farewell to the fuzzy girl who had already been there for 120 days the next morning, with tears in their eyes.
In a short time Fiona immediately felt at home , Monica’s eldest son takes her out for a walk every day and allows her climb on the sofa. She also sleeps with Myanni and is effectively the new queen of the home.
If balm for your soul is what you need to read right now, I humbly present a balding peeing potbellied pit bull named Princess Fiona, and a 5 year old named Myanni who asked the animal shelter, “Do you take Cash App or card?” https://t.co/spvI1JQVPl pic.twitter.com/c1BJjpPNoj
