Romanian dog shelters are not like those in the United States. The dogs are often kept outside in less-than-ideal conditions. Because of Romania's poverty, the shelters do not receive enough food from donations, causing the dogs to eat less than they should.
Bella was frightened and underweight. She'd never before been hugged or loved. Her stay at the shelter was destroying her morale. The video below shows Bella being removed from the shelter by Howl Of A Dog, a Romanian rescue organisation, in order to find her a permanent home.
The rescuers and Bella dash to the vet. As she sits next to her new human acquaintance in the car, her face is expressionless. She recognises that when she receives love, her life will change.
Bella was so exhausted. According to shelter employees, Bella slept very little. She was struggling to feel secure in her kennel. As she sits there being petted, her eyes begin to close. It's wonderful to see her finally unwind.
Then Bella does something extremely moving. She rests her head on her savior's lap. She is able to snooze on the way to the veterinarian's office. The car is tranquil and quiet, and the lady next to her appears pleasant and polite. This was just what Bella needed. A dog's sense of security is critical.
Since the production of this video, Bella has found a permanent home and is living a happy life. Please spread the word about Bella's little video and story. Everyone should be present to see a shelter dog's first moments of peace. It is critical to find homes for dogs who are already in shelters and in need of affection.
