Dog Who Wouldn’t Fight Back In The Ring, Gets The Hug She’s Been Waiting For

The little boy lay beside her, and with all her scars and pain, embraced her for the dog that she is.

She was discovered in the worst possible condition, having been exploited as dog bait for illegal dog fighting. She is currently happy in a loving home.

It is illegal to engage in dog fighting. It is a crime in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Possession of canines for fighting purposes is considered a felony violation in most states. Observing a dogfight is also illegal in every state. State laws and penalties vary significantly. This sport simply involves pitting dogs against each other in order to fight, resulting in serious injuries and, more often than not, death. Bets are placed on these unfortunate creatures by those who profit from their exploitation.

Betsy is a pit bull who was saved from this illegal and heinous behaviour. When rescuers found her, they couldn't believe she was still alive in that condition. Betsy's head had a massive gash with nearly no skin on top, one of her ears was missing, and she had bite scars all over her body.

Fun times with his human buddy on the trampoline

Betsy was made into a bait dog and torn apart by fighting dogs because she refused to fight, and she was let to die as a result of the attacks. Betsy was fortunately rescued in 2017.

The rescuers did everything they could to provide Betsy the best possible treatment and care. She eventually regained her strength and proved to her rescuers that she was the sweetest dog. In a March video, Betsy appears to be happier than ever in her forever home.

A happy ending

"Betsy had a bad start in life, but she was given a second chance." "We made her play and gave her a new life," the video says. Among all the joy Betsy is experiencing with her new family, one moment stands out: In the sun, resting on a trampoline and being cuddled by a small boy. "Betsy is completely content," says the video.

Viktor Larkhill, the man who shared Betsy's story on his YouTube channel, stated, "Her treatment and transformation is one of the most beautiful rescue stories, the kind of story that inspires people to become better."

Betsy is brave and loving. Share her story to help raise awareness about illegal dog fighting.
