Many stories about dogs' devotion and sacrifice for their owners have made international headlines. And, more recently, another story of that wonderful love has moved hundreds to tears.
Moana's owner, Jeco Macs, shared the story on his Facebook page. He was watching television when he heard Moana barking in the yard and seen the dog bite and drag a cobra down the steps.
Macs smashed the snake fast, relieved that Moana's actions had protected the entire family. He initially had no idea the dog had been bitten by a snake, and he brags about Moana's achievement on social media.
"Moana, I love you." You are a true hero! You are in charge of preserving your family. Respect your dogs because they are extremely intelligent and will risk their lives to save you. Because they value you above all else in their lives."
Moana is depicted happy with a killed snake in the preceding image. This dog, on the other hand, died abruptly a few minutes later. It didn't take long for the puppy's joy to turn to grief. The snake murdered Moana before her owner's family could take her to the vet.
This story drew a lot of attention from the internet community right away. It currently has over 46,000 shares, 48,000 likes, and 18,000 comments expressing respect and compassion for the tiny dog's fortitude.
The dog died while fighting the dangerous snake and keeping the cobra from entering the house, where it could attack any family member at any time. The fight killed the second snake, but the dog was unable to escape the snake's strong venom, which was seeping deep into the dog's body.
The image of the owner filming the last moments of his tiny dog's life, when he wags his tail joyfully before closing his eyes and dying forever, is heartbreaking.
Moana, the brave tiny dog, is a hybrid between a Shi Tzu and a Chihuahua, and she was only a year old when she made the ultimate sacrifice to save her owner.
Despite the fact that they are not of the same species and cannot communicate in each other's language, they share the same affection as a family. People's dedication to this devoted animal reaches their emotions, helping them to realise that those who look after them are family.
