According to Pitiful Animal, Phoenix is one of the five worst cases they've ever rescued. When the rescue team came, Phoenix was in serious condition. Phoenix, a thin creature, was lying alone in a desolate field.
Hundreds of thousands of ants devoured her, and she was covered with bugs. She was unable to stand or move, and she groaned in pain. No one saw her despite the fact that she was lying on the street.

To begin with, doctors employed medications to control body temperature in combination with serum infusion. They soon had to resort to a more permanent solution of blankets and heaters. Phoenix, on the other hand, looked to have nerve damage, rendering her unable to regulate her behavior and causing her to convulse on a frequent basis.
After two months in the hospital, this was the first time the nurse could wash her. During this trying time, all of the doctors on the team were working hard to keep Phoenix alive.
"We were quite pleased of Phoenix since she was doing so well and had no intention of giving up the life."
