Tragedy Left Doggo Maimed For Life, But He Never Let It Stop Him And He Was Rewarded With Forever Unconditional Love

Brodie, a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, is not like other dogs. He always has a funny expression on his face. Nonetheless, he's just as lovely as any other four-legged family member.

Brodie had a difficult time finding his forever family when he was just a puppy. He just couldn't seem to locate the right person. But then he met Amanda Richter and Brad Ames, her boyfriend. When they first spotted Brodie, it was like love at first sight. They were unable to leave the refuge without him.

The Story of Brodie

Brodie's distinctive features was not present from birth. His mother attacked him when he was just 13 days old. He was left with a severely deformed face and partial blindness while he healed. His circumstances, however, do not slow him down in the least!

Brodie was adopted when he was a puppy. His family loved him a lot, but they quickly realised he wasn't the proper fit for them. He was too energetic, so he was returned to Old Macdonald Kennels in Alberta, Canada, where Brodie was born. The shelter wanted to make sure Brodie's next adoption went smoothly, so they started publishing a lot of posts on social media.

Richter first came across Brodie's photo on Facebook. She knew they had to meet him right now. Richter and Ames chose to adopt the puppy after barely an hour with him. His intense energy didn't disturb them, and they were eager to put in as much training time as possible.

The couple even created a cute Instagram page for their new puppy. He has already gained over 162,000 followers, and that figure is growing. He certainly is an inspiration to both animals and humans alike.

Brodie is now undergoing therapy dog training. His parents claim that if you are patient with him, he is a highly intelligent puppy. As a result, he has improved his behaviour on a daily basis.

Richter and Ames hope that as a therapy dog, he will be able to inspire others. They would love for him to contribute to the happiness of people with disabilities. After all, Brodie has demonstrated to the world that his disabilities do not prevent him from enjoying his best life.

"We'd like to take him maybe into old folks homes, children's hospitals, group homes for people that have disabilities, that kind of thing," Richter went on to say.

Despite everything, Brodie is a joyful pup that is just like any other dog. He hopes to become an official therapy dog soon so he can help make the world a better place. For the time being, he'll just keep posting lovely photo and video updates on his Instagram feed.
