It was a pitiful, scrawny little dog. It was sitting next to the skeleton and skin of a large dog that had died a few days before. The enormous dog's cause of death is unknown, but this puppy is most likely his offspring.
People were curious, but by the time the photographer returned, he had lost track of it, which was natural considering how long it had been.
Some people were irritated because the photographer had neglected to bring the dog, which he found later. They are praying that the puppy is still alive and well somewhere in Tibet's severe surroundings.

"I saw the heart-breaking scene as I was walking around the burnt-out area of the village," the photographer said of the moving photograph.

I intend to take the tiny dog with me when I have to leave because no one will adopt him. However, a compassionate man eventually adopted it. He and I decided to put the dog to a Buddhist communal house in the village because he was destitute. I'm sure I'll be back to see the dog soon."
